July 14th : First #NetlabelDay edition !

Save the date ! July 14th 2015 is the first edition of the Netlabel Day.
On this date, more than 80 digital labels answered the call launched from Chile to make a massive release of tens of EPs and LPs on the same place : http://netlabelday.blogspot.fr

We will participate with a special compilation featuring 14th artists, regulars from our place mostly, and an exclusive dubclash between OICHO (aka David Harrow) and On-u sound tape archivist Dr Dub.

This mixtape wa released early 2009 in collaboration with swiss collective RadioDadio (http://www.radiodadio.ch)
Processed by Volfoniq, it features several tracks from LCL (some are unreleased even nowadays) along with a selection from other favourite netlabels (Jahtari, A quite bump, Science of the trinity, Bangladesh...)
The whole dish is boosted with dub twists, psychedelic talkings and roaring basses on the mixing deck. 1 hour and 20 minutes of density...

"This is a very special release for us !

Summer 2009 : LibreCommeLair (LCL) opens a free creative commons sound bank filled by the artists who collaborated or released on the label.
To spread the new, LCL decides to organize a remix contest based on the sound bank. Some musicians remixed one track, some mashed up two, others mixed up several and one even used all the samples in the same track (guess wich one) !

Early 2011 : after monthes of dilemna, a jury composed of Netaudio and Creative Commons music actors makes a selection of the contest entries.
This Jury is composed by FreeMusicArchive (U.S.), Notheen (Hungary), Subflow (France), DivergenceFM (France), INQ (Spain), Netwaves (Belgium), Netaudio Berlin (Germany), AQuietBump (Italy), iD.EOLOGY (Germany) and Dogmazic (France).

Here is their selection, casted into the form of a dense and impetuous compilation of 10 sonic candies browsing a wide musical spectrum.
Dub, reggae, d'n'b, hip hop, electronica, all for your aural pleasure !
